Exciting developments are happening in the borough to support Rugbeians in contributing to net zero, and there is financial help out there to assist even more.
As of October 2021, there are 53 publicly available electric vehicle charging devices available in Rugby, and the graphic below shows the significant progress which is being made to increase the availability of public charging devices (source: Department of Transport).

Alongside this, a free app called EV8 Switch – backed by £2.7 million of UK Space Agency funding – has been launched. It calculates how much money UK drivers could save by switching to an EV compared to their current petrol or diesel vehicle, along with details on the carbon dioxide (CO2) savings and air quality improvements they could achieve.
